Rick Fowler Band
Rick Fowler Band
Rick Fowler has been performing professionally for decades. He has toured several countries and has performed with some of the world’s top artists. In 1982, Fowler’s band Fortnox reached #44 in US airplay and the Top Twenty on MTV with their song Storm Inside My Head (Epic Records). Fortnox toured constantly for over a year, often performing in stadiums as the supporting act for top rock artists such as Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, George Thorogood and The Ramones. In 1984, Rick’s band Bombay recorded with legendary British producer Eddy Offord (Yes, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, others). The video from the album (Rumble Tonight) was featured on MTV. After moving to Athens, GA in 1991, Fowler played in side band projects with Bill Berry (R.E.M.) and Dave Schools (Widespread Panic, Government Mule). In the mid-90s, he joined Drivin’ N’ Cryin guitarist Buren Fowler, Dreams So Real drummer Drew Worsham, and Normaltown Flyers bassist Greg Veale to form The Lonely White Boys.
Fowler signed with Jammates Records in 2007 and recorded the album Back On My Good Foot. The record received glowing reviews from virtually every major blues music magazine worldwide and it continues to get heavy airplay on Pandora and other music sites. Due to the success of the “Good Foot” album, Fowler formed a permanent band. The Rick Fowler Band released three additional records – Discordia, Live from Athens, GA and Radio Silent. All members of the band are veteran musicians who have played with many national acts during their careers.
