The AthFest Internships are a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a nationally recognized major event.

AthFest offers two types of internships:
Spring-Summer Interns experience all aspects of the festival from planning to implementation. Joining our team in January, interns help us work through the details of planning at monthly meetings with tasks such as securing permits, booking bands, and contracting vendors. Then really dig in by helping run the festival in June. We conclude with a wrap-up meeting in July to discuss improvements for next year. These internships run from January to July and include approximately 150 hours of work, approximately one-third of which occurs during the festival.
Summer Interns are a vital aspect of staging the festival. Interns help with all aspects of the festival including load-in & setup, operations, resolving last minute issues, and packing it all up. Positions are available in Stage Management, Merchandising, Hospitality, KidsFest, IT, Artist Market, and others. Most of the 50 hours of this internship occurs during the festival which is a busy and exciting time. Summer internships run from the walk-through meeting in May to the wrap up meeting in July.

All interns receive a staff shirt and all an access pass. These are unpaid internships that qualify for course credits (UGA Experiential Learning, MBus and SSW internship; see your academic advisor for details).
