Folie à Cinq
Folie à Cinq is a five-member band that plays and sings French chansons, pop, jazz, and traditional music from the ’30s to today! Dominique and Lavon, who share a love of music and a keen interest in a wide variety of musical styles and genres, formed Folie à Deux (which in French means “shared madness”) in 2023. The duo-Lavon on guitar and vocals and Dominique on vocals, accordion, and guitar-have developed a repertoire of French chansons, songs from the Jazz and Swing Eras, originals by Lavon in English and French, and traditional tunes from France, Quebec, and Louisiana.
In Folie à Cinq (“Madness shared by five”), Dominique and Lavon are joined by three talented musicians-Dan on double-bass, Mark on rhythm and lead guitar, and recently Jay on drums.
