Woody Garrison

Woody Garrison is an Americana singer-‐songwriter returning to Athens after living in
Hawaii for 15 years. Woody has played in bands in Athens since moving there in high school in the late seventies. Woody has been gaining more attention and recognition sInce he began focusing on his own songwriting after recovering from cancer in 2019. Over the last couple of years he has played shows to appreciative audiences in several venues around Athens. Woody writes heartfelt songs of grief and loss as well as interpreting a few other artists’ songs in his own unique way. Woody has been compared to Americana artists from Jason Isbell to Gram Parsons.
