Supernova Rainbow Band

The album of rock music based on themes that kids can relate to called “A Supernova Rainbow of Fun” was written and recorded by Hutchens, Nance, Mills & Tonks back in 2012 and put on the shelf.  Then in 2021, Todd Nance (Widespread Panic) and Danny Hutchens (Bloodkin) both passed away and so William Tonks (MrJordanMrTonks, Bloodkin) and Jon Mills (Bloodkin) decided to finish the album in their honor.  It was published around Christmas of that year.  The Supernova Rainbow Band was formed in 2022 to perform the great music from this album and includes veteran Athens musicians Tommy Jordan (MrJordanMrTonks, String Theory) on guitar and vocals, Matt Lane (The Possibilities, The Wydelles) on drums and vocals, Mills on bass and vocals, and Tonks on guitar and vocals. For AthFest, John Neff (many, many bands) will be joining us on pedal steel.
