Mary Margaret Cozart

Mary Margaret Cozart is an indie rock singer-songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. Drawing on southern roots spanning from Alabama to North Carolina, her sincere lyricism is complemented by refined guitar work and a warm yet austere voice. After entering the Athens music scene as a University of Georgia student in 2019 with the folk duo Common Currents, Cozart embarked on performing her solo repertoire, including a 5-song debut EP, “Emerald City” (2021), followed by the singles “Georgia to California” (2021) and “Interior Design” (2023). Having spent a few years in Savannah and relocating home to Atlanta, Cozart maintains a steady presence in Athens, performing her music with local musicians and lending guitar/vocals to Your Ex’s Pets.
