D:RC (pronounced “Darcy”) has been a fixture in the Southeast US dance music scene since the 90s, with roots firmly planted in Athens, GA. While drum & bass is his core, his love for all things bass music has led him to explore dubstep, UKG, and related off-shoots over the years, even co-founding the now defunct touring production/DJ trio Smookie Illson in 2012. During the 2020 pandemic, D:RC focused on his “Liquid Lovers Lounge” Twitch series, a Saturday livestream dedicated to the more melodic and minimal sounds of D&B. He’s currently a managing partner at Atlanta’s long-running D&B night, Torch, a resident DJ and partner at DNB event outfit Jungle Bells, and a member of Athens-based DJ collective Nightshade Family.
