Cassie Chantel

Recognized as the Vic Chestnutt Songwriter of the Year (2021) and 5 times Best Female Hip Hop Artist at the Athens Hip Hop Awards (2013, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022), Cassie Chantel is a multi-award-winning songwriter and recording artist born in Athens, GA. Recently, she performed with UGA’s African American Choral Ensemble and other musicians of Hugh Hodgson’s School of Music for the Athens Hip Hop Harmonic. Chantel is the founder of her own independent label Tribe House Records, where apart from furthering her own career, she spends much of her time highlighting other creatives and advocating for change.
