At 24 years old Cannon Rogers has spent more time in the back of van traversing the United States Interstate highway system than most folks can fit into a lifetime, but after years of traveling as a musician with various groups Rogers is excited to hit the road with his own tunes and at his own pace. Born and raised in northwest Georgia and making his home in the musical oasis of Athens, GA Rogers is the product of the generational sea change in the South spawning acts like Wednesday from nearby Asheville, NC or writers like Willi Carlisle and Nick Shoulders from the heartlands around the Mississippi River. As inspired by Flannery O’Connor as he is Lucinda Williams, Rogers works to weave the southern music and
art that he loves into the stories he tells from dive bar stages across the country.
