Beto Cacao

Beto Cacao was born in San Juan Ixhuatepec Mexico and moved to Athens in 1999. Beto has played in every single school in Athens, sharing the Latinx culture with kids. Beto is co-founder of the band Incatepec that plays Latinx folk and popular music.

Beto has collaborated on the art that gives us strength to face the tyrant with Killick Hinds, and produced the album, Voces en Pandemia, a collection of histories from migrant workers during COVID-19 pandemic. This album features two other songwriters in Athens and two songwriters in Mexico. Undocorridos is an album with the stories of undocumented workers living in USA. Beto Cacao has also published a single, “Manejando sin miedo.”
