Donald Keyes
This year’s arts components of AthFest are missing the ebullient figure of Donald Keyes, who chaired the committee over the past few years. His passing in May of 2007 left AthFest and the Athens community with a sizable void. He was an ardent supporter of the local arts community, and AthFest’s hope is that his enthusiasm for artistic endeavors and the artists behind them remains in spirit through AthFest and the other initiatives he was involved in and finds its way into you and others to passionately support the arts.
