What we can do for you

Lunchtime Performances – Musician(s) can rock (reggae, jazz, etc.) your cafeteria.

Give us a time and a date and we’ll send awesome musicians to play during your entire lunch period.  All we need from you is a promise to provide us with student feedback using the evaluation form developed by CCSD music teachers. Click here to request.

Mini Grants – NOT your usual mini grant.

Apply here for anything you can think of related to visual arts or music. Studying Africa? How about requesting a musician to visit your students and do some African drumming or an artist to help your class create African masks? Your school wants to bring an orchestra to school? Ask us for funds to help you do it! Perhaps one of your students is dying to play the trombone but can’t afford it.  Ask us!  Or maybe your class wants to attend a performance of The Sound of Music or visit the Georgia Museum of Art.  Maybe we can help you.  Just ask! Click here to apply.

Grade Level Performances - Sometimes you just want to shake things up a little.

How about combining one grade level’s specials one day and attending a more intimate performance than the lunchtime performance.  We can send musician(s) to your school to entertain your students with music relevant to your curriculum.  Click here to request.

Artist in Residence (Lite) - A burgeoning program…

Would your music or art program like to have a recurring musical/artistic visitor to support your lessons? Just ask . . . We’re here to help! Click to Apply.

*Requests are considered in two specific time frames…but if something really special occurs to you outside these application periods, it never hurts to ask.

The next application period will be January 1st to January 25th, 2012. Applications will be considered and responses provided between February 2nd and 6th, 2012.
