AthFest Educates is Hiring!

Athfest Educates, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit music and arts education organization in Athens, Georgia, is seeking an
Executive Director.
Founded in 1997 to plan and promote an annual music and arts festival showcasing the talent of Athens and the
surrounding communities, the organization has expanded its scope to include multiple programs and events, and
set its sights on funding opportunities to support music and arts education in the public schools and the broader
community. In addition to the festival, Athfest Educates plans the annual AthHalf Half Marathon, and in-school
performances across Athens-Clarke County.
As it enters the 18th year, Athfest Educates finds itself at a critical juncture, and is seeking visionary leadership to
support its ongoing evolution. Throughout our history, we have had only one Executive Director. The new
Executive Director will be expected to build upon the organization’s legacy, and assist the Board in shaping its
future.

2013 AthFest Theme – David Hale

It was an absolute honor working with local artist David Hale on our 2013 theme. His work has gained national recognition, and we loved watching his art translate onto our festival theme. When we first approached David about working with us, we let him run with the idea, just wanting to see where his vision would take it. After a few preliminary sketches we were sure that it was the right vibe, and from that point on we simply rode behind his artistic momentum.

Once the art was completed, we relied on the fine folks at The AdSmith to help translate the works to our various needs, including the 2013 Compilation Album, our Club Crawl Mixtape, festival signage, and much more! All in all, we couldn’t be more proud of how AthFest 2013 looks, and we look forward to you joining us this week/weekend!

Look for his work across the festival, and check out our merchandise featuring his art, which help us raise funds for music & arts education! David will also be part of our largest Artist Market to date, so be sure to stop by.
